14th July, France Ntaional Day

It was a public holiday in France and we had the day off!
Yea! The party have already started the day before with musicians playing outdoor at each individual town square followed by a beautiful display of fireworks accompanied by music. We had a good evening and the next day we all went to a lake to have a picnic and to enjoy the outdoor concert.

Lac des Sapins Pine Lake

The weather was rather cloudy and windy. Sometime the sun comes out and it was nice and sunny. Rare occassion. We brought our swimming suits but no courage to enter into the lake.. TOO COLD.. They are some daring people who seems to be enjoying themselves in the lake.. There are also children playing and building sand castles.

The temperature is rising... getting into the mood for the concert. Good music playing... Here Johan and his dad is doing a dance demo to the tektonic music. Not bad... shake it baby!!

We found a cozy place, had our picnic and waited for the singers to arrive. Relaxing in the grass while some are trying to find a place to get a better view and a closer look at the stars........

such as climbing a sign posts..

This is not too bad for a good view. Although eventually they were told to get down for security reasons... and as soon as they came down from the cli, bing frame, others climb on and the cycle continues...

The poor kids have no place to play now cos all the adults have taken over!!

Why not on the trash can.. pretty stable but need to hold on to each other for support.

Finally the stars arrived and i manage to find a little spot where i could get a glipmse of them with mum in law.. we were among the crowd. Some pushing and shoving around as the concert begins. Gets a little bit annoying after awhile.. especially when they decide to stand right infront of you!

Some screaming in the ear as the stars appear on stage. I think if they walk by me in the street, i wont even know who they are..

They sang well though. It was good fun. After awhile, the crowd was increasing and people are still trying to find a better view... so some more shoving and pushing. There were also two ladies who almost got into a fight for this just infront of us. Rude remarks being exchanged.. a few mins later, Marie Christine(mum in law) feels giddy and almost fainted... We headed out of the crowd and join the boys.. get some fresh air. Just in time i think.. She was alright after that.

The singers did their little rounds to shake hands with the fans and do some signature signing... I managed to get close enough!! As you can see : )

Here is a famous song in France now. People are enjoying this particular song that makes them move and shake the booty!!

It was an enjoyable and relaxing day.. A good family day out!

? Vous verrez que le chantier a avancé… See you later ! Bisouxxx. J-Luc
